A lot of changes have occurred in the last year. I had to give up the studio at the Secor Building in downtown Toledo. Hopefully a more affordable and more suitable location will present itself in the near future. After so many years of working in a studio environment, it is very difficult to return to the limitations of working from the house. Some of the challenges however may well change the direction of my work for the better as well.  Time will tell. 

For the present, I expect to become more active in the Ann Arbor Fiber Arts Guild, possibly the Michigan Surface Design group and do my usual shows in Columbia, Maryland in April, Annapolis, Maryland in June, Hershey, Pennsylvania in July and a new one in Michigan near Detroit in May.   There is a fiber arts fashion show and luncheon in April that will be selling some of my fabrics as part of their event along with several other area artists work at Washtenaw Community College, and although I will be in Maryland for a show at the time, I will be represented by a long term friend, Sirri  Neuman. 

Since this site doesn’t get updated as often as I would like, I hope to get an email list started to keep people up to date on shows, new techniques and things I am playing with that may be of interest, sale items, and the like. If you would like to participate, please let me know and I will put you on the list.  Messages will be fairly short as we are all busy, and limited to a few times per year.  If you have questions, would like to schedule classes at your venue, need a special order, commission a piece or a pillow, whatever, let me know.  I was really beginning to enjoy exhibiting at the galleries downtown and would like to continue to find the time and energy to pursue more of my own art. I have devoted so much time to the ever changing and interesting work of dyeing that sometimes I feel the need to take a break and just use what I put out there for the rest of you, so please bear with me while I indulge as well.
